The grade 2 listed building was constructed by the Eyre family in the 1600s, originally as a farmstead. It became a coaching inn during the late 1600s and in 1753 it was registered as a public house.
A large painting of coat of arms of the Eyre family hangs proudly above the fireplace and underpins the identity of this historic building.
